I was recently involved in developing a web application that at its core was automated creation of PDF documents with dynamic content. Adobe ColdFusion has a large number of functions available to create and manipulate PDF documents. This is part one of a series posts which will aim to explore some of the more advanced methods of PDF creation, along with caveats and gotchas along the way.
